Innovation, Leadership, & Expertise

A collage of various magazine logos and media outlets related to yoga, health, wellness, and lifestyle. Notable brands include Telemundo, the Doctors, Shape, Yoga Journal, OMEGA, Yoga Magazine, Green America, Yoga International, IDEA, and others.

OmGym grew largely by creating interactive suspension and aerial yoga movement zones at popular events. Try-out stations and fully rigged class areas were set up at yoga, Pilates, and fitness conferences, music festivals, body-mind-spirit events, and more. As a result Sarah has personally coached and supervised teams coaching more than 20,000 people. No legal claim has ever been made as a result of Sarah’s instruction.

Other contributions to the field include:

  • First suspension/aerial yoga movement method on record with USPTO, as filed in 2007

  • First known teacher training program taught in person

  • First brand to mass produce and sell equipment nationally and internationally

OmGym was the first to introduce any form of flying, gravity-assisted, or suspended yoga on a national and/or international scale. Safety standards did not exist before OmGym paved the way.

Starting 2005, Sarah Kellett personally evaluated every threat to safety before it occurred, and created standards of instruction and setup accordingly. In an industry where most professionals simply repeat whatever was done by others before, Sarah can tell you why specific decisions were made, what alternatives were considered, and the perceived risks with each possible scenario. As an industry pioneer, she lived and breathed every aspect of the methods, the products, and the newly-developing industry practices.
